As a Northern California native and multi-passionate entrepreneur, Jennifer Sawyer has periodically practiced yoga for 10 years as a means to relieve stress and re-center herself. When she relocated to Las Vegas and resided in the North West, she realized the community lacked a space centered around wellness that was inviting to all. That is how Obsidian Yoga was born: with the mission to provide a simple yet transformative yoga experience.
When she is not practicing yoga or managing her many businesses, Jennifer loves spending time with her husband, children, and most especially her granddaughter. Additionally, With her personal brand, Grey and Glowing, Jennifer shares the journey of how she manifested her dream life with the intention of inspiring others to do the same.

Katricia is originally from San Francisco, CA. She came to Las Vegas in 1995 and has been calling Las Vegas her home ever since. She received her yoga certification in 2015 and has been practicing yoga for 10+ years. Battling obesity and asthma for many years Katricia was searching for something that would make her feel good from the inside out. She also wanted to show people that anybody can do yoga no matter what age, shape or size. She started with some gym classes, then branched out to a couple of yoga studios. She transformed her life with a solid yoga practice and a lot of organic and grain free meals. Her new found love of wellness sparked a passion to help others and pursued her goal of becoming a yoga teacher. Her main focus is to help people feel good in the skin that they are in. Offering body conscious classes to all walks of life.
She opened up Yoga Kandy, a yoga studio shortly after completing her 200 hours of teachers training. She kept it open for about 3 years and then decided to close it and just focus on private clients including one on one’s and corporate clients. Unfortunately, Covid-19 hit the world and Katricia had to shut down for a while. She took a 2 year hiatus until everything settled. She also took this time to regroup, do a little more self-care and enjoyed a lot of hiking which is what you will find her doing when she’s not on the mat. Now reopened offering private sessions again including corporate wellness and studio classes around the Las Vegas Valley.
Born in Venezuela, Gabby and her family emigrated to the US when she was 3 years old and grew up in Las Vegas. With a penchant for physical activity, she’s always done some sort of sport or movement, whether it’s dance, long-distance running, boxing, bouldering, or yoga. She first experienced yoga when she was 14 through an Ashtanga book. Since then, she’s been practicing on and off for 20 years. It wasn’t until her experience with depression that she dedicated more and more of her time to her practice, finding peace, focus, and empowerment. She firmly believes that the lessons you learn on your mat can be applied to day-to-day life. Learn to trust yourself and be content with who you are so you can move forward with clarity. She will guide you through an invigorating Vinyasa flow.

Originally drawn to yoga as a way to cope with the rigor of her undergraduate Anatomy and Physiology courses, Becca has been a yoga practitioner since 2015. When the moment was finally right, Becca enrolled in and completed her 200-hour RYT training at Sin City Yoga in Las Vegas, NV, in June of 2021.

If you are looking for a blend of hard work and gentleness & strengthening and softening, plus a dash of quirky humor, Becca’s classes may be just the thing you didn’t know you were missing but now can’t live without.
Sebastian first stepped on his mat in April 2013 after a depressive episode. He had tried yoga before but it didn’t click. this time it was different and he was hooked. Yoga became his passion, but was nervous to even step foot in a studio. he practiced at home with videos for about a year before losing that fear of being in a studio. Seeking adventure, in 2019, he hopped on a plane and took his first 200hr ytt
in Kenya, which taught him the value of community. Eternal student, he took his second 200hr YTT in the fall of 2020 here in Las Vegas. aside from that, he is a unlv sociology major, vegan, cat dad, and all around nerd.
Fun fact: if you think you heard Kate Bush in class, you’re right.
